The Best Social Media Organisational Apps

As the newest member of the Social Directions Agency team, learning about the different tools a Social Media Manager uses every day, has been one of the best experiences of my new job! I aim to learn something new every single day, and this job has allowed me to learn 20 new things a day! My main roles at SDA include creating content for Instagram and Facebook stories, posting all content that is made for every client and actively engaging with users on all clients social media platforms. Today I am going to go through some of the tools that I use every day to do my job.

  1. Loomly - Post Scheduling

The services offered on Loomly include analytics, automated publishing, contact management, customer targeting, keyword filtering, multi-account management and post scheduling. This is a really handy website to schedule posts in advance and has a clear idea of what content will be posted each day, which is important for business owners with not a lot of spare time for social media on their hands (which is nearly all business owners).

2. Flick - Hashtag Tool

Flick is a useful tool that you can use to find Instagram hashtags, create hashtag sets, and analyze the performance of the hashtags you use on Instagram. It also has analytics capabilities to help you assess the performance of your Instagram content and understand your target audience. Hashtags are an asset that every social media user should be utilising, and Flick will help you understand the best ones to use based on who you want to reach!

3. Dollar Eighty - Engagement Strategy Tool

Inspired by Gary Vee’s $1.80 strategy, Dollar Eighty brings together his most effective marketing strategies, so you can grow on Instagram daily. As a leader in online marketing, Gary’s strategy focuses on building relationships first. The Dollar Eighty strategy basically means leaving your two cents (aka comment) on nine posts in 10 different hashtags daily. When you do the math that equals $1.80. This consistent, authentic engagement will spark conversations and real connections with followers across Instagram! This really easy to use website has made my job 10 times easier when it comes to engaging with users and potential clients!!

Some other tools I use (but not as regularly) include:

Canva: creating content

Ask The Public: coming up with content ideas

Slack: communication with the SDA Team

Asana: organising, managing and tracking my work

Google sheets: Accessing content calendar
